The babies

French director Thomas Balmès' new documentary The Babies is a lovely way to spend a couple of hours. The film simultaneously follows 4 babies from around the world (Namibia, Mongolia, Tokyo and San Francisco) from birth to their first steps.  While the babies day-to-day lives are very different, they do have a common denominator: curiosity and their mother's unconditional love.  Its a must see!

As we say in French when we love something, we call it:   UN COUP DE COEUR or a hit to the heart.....  Dont be put-off by the first 30 seconds.....just keep watching!  It will become your Coup de Coeur See if you can find a pair of red booties.....

they are so cute!

  9. I went to see that with some of my fellow ocfamily.com bloggers. Despite the teasing from my husband that it was a silly idea for a movie, I loved it! I laughed, I cried, and I even cringed a few times.
