Bonjour my dear friends,
Welcome to another edition of Ruby Tuesday hosted by Maryt at Work of the Poet. To join click here to view other exciting ruby red posts....
From auburn and crimson to copper, redheads are a rarity—some figures put them at between 1 and 2% of the world’s population—which is perhaps what makes them so prized. Those women sporting red locks, which are most common in Northern Europe, mainly England, Scotland and Ireland, also usually have pale, freckly sun-sensitive complexions. I love red hair. Do you? Lately I have been considering getting red highlights. Here is a selection of models chosen at random because of their beautiful red hair. I'm not sure if they are all natural redheads but they still look great! Happy Ruby Tuesday! So many hues...but all so beautiful!
Those pictures make me miss my red tresses!! Happy RT!
ReplyDeleteI agree they are so beautiful!!

Wow, I didn't know how rare they were! I think red hair is the coolest...I'm thinking of swapping my brown locks for some more like your model in picture #2:o)
ReplyDeleteOur new Prime Minister has red hair and the glossy mags are predicting a new wave of red hair mayhem! Perhaps I could be one! I love the dark dark red shade!
ReplyDeleteLet's put it this way....NATURAL redheads are more a rarity. But you can color your hair red any day of the week.
ReplyDeletePssst, my dear hubby would LOVE these photos, he loves the redheads. LOL But he has to settle for the gray mare he's married to.

Have a great week!
I love red hair. I dyed my hair red all through high school. It is a very difficult color to maintain if you do not come by it naturally.
ReplyDeleteP.S. I moved to WordPress still the same url, but I may or may not be updating in your reader or dashboard.
I love red hair as well... I've dyed mine red so many times. Great blog... I am now following.
ReplyDeleteStop by my blog to pick up an award!

Thanks!
Red heads! What a delight. I grew up in South Louisiana, near a town famous for its red haired inhabitants. I guess there was a clan of red headed Cajuns who started the genetic strain. I have 2 aunts and a good friend from that town, and yes, natural redheads!
ReplyDeleteFrom a natural redhead - thanks for your post. :)
ReplyDeleteThe little one in the last photo is as cute as can be.
These photos really make me want to try red highlights! Great idea! Interesting fact about 1-2% of the population. Never knew that :)
ReplyDeleteI have ALWAYS wanted red hair since I was a little girl....LOVE IT!!!! Just poppin' by to say hello I just got back from vacation with my sister; spent 6 days with her, 4 of those days in Newport, Oregon on the wonderful, healing ocean it has been so long. And wanted to just let you know I have been thinking and praying for you and your family! Hope all is well. Love and blessings to you all!
ReplyDeleteOh goodness, this fits right in with my post...except the color of hair...lol...but these women could be Irish, who knows?

ReplyDeleteAny one interested in redheads and the mystique around them should add to their summer reading list Tom Robbins' "Still Life With Woodpecker", which is a literary celebration of redheads...
ReplyDeleteSigned,
