This video is hysterical! I sent it to my fishing husband. Your blog is very funny. Great to hear from someone in Quebec. My husband and I love Vieux-Québec! For many years, we spent Canada Day there. We haven't been in a couple years but I miss it and will return soon.
I need to write a post about our time spent there!
Thanks for your visit and comments about SA. We spent very little time in Joburg and I was stunned by the poverty, too. The memory that stands out in my memory was an older white women begging in traffic outside a grocery store. She looked like my mother.
I didn't see the protea but looked at it on Google and wish I had. I plan to write more posts about our trip. Hope to hear from you again.
You have a great blog and your articles on your trip to SA are interesting. I lived there in the early 90's. Too bad blogging did not exist then. I will visit your blog again to check your new stuff! :)
I think this YouTube clip is part of a movie scene. But it does look real and one would wonder why they do not hear it. I cant wait for warmer weather....
I think it was one of the old Walter Matthau and Jack Lemon movies....Grumpy Old Men, or one of those...I could be wrong though, but it definately looks like a setup.
I'm a French teacher by day at a local Montréal School and a mother and blogger by night! The door to my boudoir is always open to greet new friends. My blog serves as a gratitude journal as well as an excuse to avoid as much housework as possible...
Oh yes, ask my hubbby! Did some on Saturday.(fishing that is)

ReplyDeletePretty good DMD,
ReplyDeleteI now know (thru the magic of You Tube) that it is the first few minutes of the movie "Always" with Richard Dreyfuss and John Goodman.
Ah...must watch that...thanks.
