Today's post is brought to you by the letter Q. I've joined Jenney Matlock at Alphabet Thursday. If you are interested in joining in to read other fun posts you can click here.
I highly recommend this rose to everyone, but especially to those in the cold zones, like me. You will see for yourself that she is GORGEOUS, but she is so much more! She has remained completely disease-free for me, blooms constantly, is vigorous & healthy, hardy, and is the one rose the Japanese Beetles rarely visited. Gosh, I hope these pictures post well because you will fall for her, I promise! QUIETNESS, THE NEAR PERFECT ROSE! |
I can smell the wonderful scent from these great pictures! Thank you!
ReplyDeleteHow beautiful! It is wonderful to learn about it.
ReplyDeleteWhat an absolutely gorgeous rose! That soft pink is just beautiful. Great choice for Q. Kathy
ReplyDeleteYour rose looks beautiful. I will have to keep her mind next time I look for a new rose bush. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteThat is a beautiful rose!
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting me on my SITS day.
I'm still working on my SITS day follow-up post. Hopefully it will be up soon. I received so many comments and questions that it is taking me forever to get through them all!
It is very intereting that you mentioned that your daughter has had low blood pressure, a fast heart rate, etc. It sounds like it very well could be POTS or some type of dysautonomia. Those are classic symptoms. If you have any questions or want to know of some online resources, please let me know.
Blessings to you!
Oh she's gorgeous. I love her name as well. Great Q post!
ReplyDeleteQuiet is a good Q-word. And rose is something to experience quietly.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes,
Anna

ReplyDeleteMM nothing nicer than a sweet scented rose roll on summer
ReplyDeleteThat is a truly beautiful rose! We have gorgeous rose gardens in Tulsa but my allergies prevent me from enjoying them up close and personal. :) I do enjoy pictures though and that is a gorgeous shade of pink!
ReplyDeleteThanks for your kind comments on one of my blogs. The rose made me smile, because when I was outside taking down my wash (since my dryer was broken this morning), I happened to see some roses about 6 feet high coming up through one of my bushes! It was a Dark pink but looked like the one you have pictured. The fragrance was light and delicate. It is funny how different roses have different strengths of fragrance. I love it! As far as the quietness goes....that is one thing I do enjoy on a warm sunny day if I am hanging out or taking in laundry. There is something quiet and comforting in doing this task and smelling the wonderul spring flowers in my yard and hearing my fountain and the birds. A beautiful stillness, with soft gentle sounds.
ReplyDeleteWOW, that is near perfect quietness!!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! Very calming pictures.
ReplyDeleteThat rose is gorgeous! I like Q for quiet... the kids are too wild these days!!
ReplyDeleteWelcome to Alphabe-Thursday!
ReplyDeleteWhat a calm and beautiful post on our little journey through the letter "Q"!
I have not heard of this rose but since I don't live anywhere even a tiny bit cold (Arizona) I doubt it is a variety that would grow well here.
Thank you for sharing your quite lovely pictures!
A+
